I collect rocks.
That sounds simple enough, but somewhere along the way, “I like pretty rocks” turned into shelves full of spheres, towers, carvings, fossils, oddities, tumblers running in the background, UV flashlights, auction packages arriving at the door, and an alarming ability to justify one more piece because this one is different.
So, welcome to pinksrocks.
I made this little corner of the internet to share the things I find, the pieces I love, what I’m learning about rocks and minerals, my rock-tumbling adventures, and probably quite a few mysteries that begin with, “Okay, but what IS this?”
Some pieces become permanent residents of my collection. Some eventually move along to new homes. And some are simply too weird, beautiful, imperfect, or interesting to pass up in the first place.
Since I’m starting this in October, it seems appropriate that the rocks are currently sharing shelf space with witches, ghosts, spiders, and an unreasonable number of skulls.
I think they’re fitting in nicely.
Welcome to pinksrocks!
